FCMS Celebrates Two Patent Achievements by Its MBBS Graduates

We are proud to announce the outstanding innovation achievements of two of our MBBS graduates, who have been granted patents by the Saudi Authority for Intellectual Property (SAIP) for their innovative medical technologies.

1. Mr. Nouruldeen Hussain Sulaiman

Patent No.: SA 1020240481 B1

Title: Three-directional Ultrasound Probe

Date of Grant: 6 August 2026

The invention introduces a three-directional ultrasound probe incorporating three ultrasound units positioned in different orientations, designed to facilitate simultaneous imaging from multiple angles and enhance three-dimensional visualization. The patent describes a mechanically articulated design that allows controlled movement of the probe components.

2. Mr. Ghaleb Abdo Al Mekhlafi

Patent No.: SA 1020256791 B1

Title: AI Guided Chemotactic Microrobot for Vibrational and Chemical Disruption of Kidney Stones

Date of Grant: 28 July 2026

This innovative medical technology proposes a miniature, AI-guided microrobot integrating vibrational and chemical mechanisms for the disruption of kidney stones. The invention incorporates AI-based processing and control, chemical sensing, a chemical reservoir, energy storage, and communication capabilities within a microrobotic platform.

These achievements demonstrate the potential of our MBBS graduates to extend their impact beyond clinical practice into medical innovation, engineering, and translational research.
