The Extracurricular Activity Unit at Fakeeh College for Medical Sciences organized a workshop titled “Escaping Digital Dependency” on September 11, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. The session was conducted by clinical psychologist Dr. Yasmine, who addressed the growing concern of digital addiction among students. The workshop highlighted the psychological and physical hazards associated with excessive screen time, including its impact on mental health, academic performance, and social relationships.
Dr. Yasmine provided practical strategies and actionable tips to help students reduce their dependency on digital devices. These included setting screen-time limits, practicing mindfulness, and engaging in offline activities to restore balance in daily life. The interactive nature of the session encouraged students to share their experiences and challenges, fostering a supportive environment for behavioral change.
