DESCRIPTION

During May and June 2025, FCMS held a Quran & Hadith Competition for students who have memorized the Quran. The event, organized in Room 6 on the first floor, aimed to enhance recitation and memorization skills, build confidence, and foster a sense of community. Surah Al-Talaq was selected for the competition, and students were grouped to recite before assigned judges using a structured rubric. A total of 21 students—12 female and 9 males—participated. The winners received certificates and cash prizes. The event was supported by faculty members and created a respectful and inspiring atmosphere that deepened students’ connection to the Quran.

TARGET AUDIENCE

All Students that have memorized the Quran

GOALS AND OBJECTIVES:

•               To improve their recitation skills: To accurately recite the Quran with correct pronunciation, intonation, and tajweed (rules of recitation).

•               To develop memorization skills: To memorize the Quranic verses and surahs (chapters) for the competition.

•               To build confidence and self-esteem: To feel more confident and self-assured when reciting the Quran in front of others.

•               To develop their public speaking skills: To learn to present themselves confidently and clearly in front of an audience.

•               To foster a sense of community and teamwork: To work together with fellow students to support each other and learn from each other's strengths and weaknesses.
