DESCRIPTION

Tobacco use and substance addiction remain major public health concerns that threaten both individual well-being and community health. In alignment with Fakeeh College for Medical Sciences' (FCMS) mission to promote preventive health education, Year 4 MBBS students, under the supervision of Dr. Maryam, organized the Antismoking &Anti addiction Awareness Day. The event aimed to educate students on the dangers of smoking and substance abuse, while promoting healthy alternatives and lifestyle choices through an interactive awareness workshop.

GOALS AND OBJECTIVES

Raise awareness about the health risks associated with smoking and substance addiction.

• Educate students on preventive strategies and support options for quitting.
• Promote healthy lifestyle choices through positive reinforcement.
• Encourage peer-to-peer education and student-led public health initiatives.
• Create a supportive environment for open dialogue around addiction and recovery.
